Kayonza Mines Organization is deeply committed to protecting Uganda’s natural ecosystems while advancing responsible mineral extraction. We integrate environmental best practices in every stage of our operations—from land use planning to waste disposal. We conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) before beginning any mining activities and implement mitigation strategies to address any identified risks. Our goal is to ensure that mining activities coexist with nature without degrading forests, rivers, and wildlife habitats.

We also champion land rehabilitation and reforestation efforts in areas affected by mining. Our environmental teams educate miners on reducing water pollution, limiting hazardous chemical use, and restoring biodiversity. We collaborate with the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) and other regulatory bodies to uphold Uganda’s environmental laws and promote sustainable development. Through these initiatives, we help shape a mining sector that is not only economically beneficial but also ecologically responsible.
